Caloundra - Pelican Waters - Hervey Bay

It was a fascinating 3-Day trip! We have decided to rent a car and drive up north with Irina, Tobek and Tomek. We packed our staff into our blue smurf and drove direction Caloundra and it's beautiful Kings Beach!

The most popular surf beach in Caloundra is called Kings Beach. We had a chance to chill there while waiting for our dear friend Tom who joined us a bit later in the afternoon.

We certainly enjoyed beautiful, unspoilt beaches, crystal-clear water and friendly and laid-back lifestyle of Caloundra people.

Let me introduce my favorite animals! Whole Australia is full of those funny looking birds. They are harmless, they just walk around looking for food.

Once we got hungry, it was time to go home. We were very excited to have our BBQ in Tobi's father house. We picked up the house key, bought loooots of food and went to Pelican Waters. By that time, however we still did not know that our dream BBQ will be slight different than we expected :-)

First, we could not open the front door of the house. As soon as we got in through the back door we have noticed that there is no electricity! We were trying to call all kinds of institutions in order to fix this issue, however it is impossible to solve problems in Australia after 5 p.m. People simply cannot help you anymore because none is working, but NO WORRIES, someone will help you the following day ;-) That means we spent our first night and BBQ with help of candlelight...

After  a few hour of sleep, we got up in the middle of the night in order to go on the most exciting part of our trip: whale watching in Hervey Bay! Those are the pictures form the sun rise on the way to the bay!

The funny thing is that even though we left really early, we got a bit lost on the way and we did not actually manage to catch our boat... However, this time thanks to the NO WORRIES attitude, wonderful and easy-going Australians, helped us right away and put us on even better boat 3h later! This way we had some time to have a nice breakfast and chill a bit before the upcoming adventure.

Our boat was AWESOME! it really was because the boat's name was AWESOME and trust me, they did not exaggerated by calling it like that! But what was even more awesome is what we actually saw during this amazing cruise... see for your self, we still cannot believe in what we saw that day...

After this amazing and full of excitement day we went back to Pelican Waters, because we had to take care of the electricity in our house so that we can enjoy the comfort of light and hot water. You really appreciate it much more once it is gone!
